The Brief

BKK Wales is an alliance of all Kyokushin clubs in Wales. A common problem was finding out information about events. As with the BKK Valley project I suggested a website as a information hub that everyone could access. We also discussed using the website to promote the clubs and events. It was essential that the website could be maintained by someone with no web development experience. With this in mind I suggested using a Content Management System such as Wordpress.

After a discussion about the content for the website I was trusted with the creative freedom to deliver the project.
The three main areas that were agreed were:

• A Professional Logo
• A website built using a Content Management System
• Professional Website Design
• Social Media Strategy

The Brand

The design of the website is clear and modern and easy to read. It promotes Kyokushin Karate, ongoing activities and showcases the benefits of being involved.

Website Design

BKK Wales wanted a simple, modern and professional brand. The brand had to incorporate a logo suitable for traditional and digital media. The website is a WordPress site designed using the 'Hueman' theme.

Update

The website has had a recent refresh/update changing the WordPress theme from 'Hueman' to 'Blocksy'. The 'Blocksy' theme has given the website a much more clear and professional design whilst also fully incorporating the BKK Wales brand.

Print Designs

Too keep consistency of the BKK Wales brand, I was asked to create posters to advertise events and certifcates for all nominees. I was also asked to design a certifcate for the Fit Kids class which is part of the Mountain Ash club.
