Important Ckub Meeting
To all current BKK Valley members
On Monday 21st July 2014 the club will be holding an important meeting in which all members are expected to attend. All members include those who have not attended training for a few months. The meeting will take place after Mondays training session at 7:30pm. If you are unable to attend please let us know.

Well Done Jack!
A quick update to say well done to Jack who fought brilliantly at the Welsh Clicker Championships in Cwmbran on Saturday 28th June. Jack came joint 3rd in his category! See a few photos from the day in our gallery
Jack has also been awarded Student of the Month for June 2014!
New Traning Times
We are changing our training times. From Monday 31st March 2014 our Monday sessions will now start at 6.30pm and finish at 8pm. We ask that all members are in the hall by 6:20 so we can start training at 6:30.
We hope that this new time will allow members more flexbility to attend training and also encourage new members to join our club.

Licence Renewal
Your licence is due for renewal. You must renew before the end of January! You will not be able to grade or participate in any tournaments without a full valid licence.
Renewal fees are as follows:
Current Members:
Seniors £30
Juniors £16
New Members:
Seniors £33
Juniors £19
Please remember to bring your licence and fee to the next training session to be able to renew your licence.
Training 2014
We hope you have had a great break over Christmas and New Year, but what you really want to know is when does trainig start again? Fear not! Training for 2014 will start on Monday 6th January at 6pm.
This year we have set some goals for the club and we want you to be a part of it. Here are the two main goals:
To encourage students to aim for the next grading
To encourage students to enter tournaments locally and nationally
We also would like to know your aims for the next year. What yould you like to achieve during 2014? Have a think and let us know.
We look forward to seeing you all back training on Monday at 6.

Celebrating Welsh Success
On Friday 7th December saw the Welsh Student of the Year Awards took place in Cardiff. The evening was a night to celebrate the best in Welsh Kyokushin. And a celebration it was! This is the first year these awards have taken place and if this year is anything to go by there will be many more in the years to come.
The highlight of the evening was of course the awards ceremony. The main focus was the amount of time and dedication given by each student in all clubs and what each one contributes. The nominees for Student or Fighter of the Year Award have really excelled in Kyokushin which of course made them all winners but as always there is only one winner. The winners are:
Senior Student of the Year – Senpai Lisa Marie Heath
Senior Fighter of the Year – Senpai Leon Lundregan
Junior Student of the Year – Ellie Edwards
Junior Fighter of the Year – Mike Short
The Shihans Award was awarded to Dai Thomas for his continued support to Welsh Kyokushin.
Congratulations all!
To top the night off Senpai Samantha Williams was presented with her trophy from the World Championship. Sam is the KUW under 70Kg World Champion!

Interclub Tournament Sucess
The latest Interclub Tournament took place on Saturday 27th April 2013.
Well done to all who took part, it was a great event showcasing Welsh Talent!

Easter Break
We will be taking a break over the Easter holiday. The last session will be Wednesday 27th March 2013.
Training will start back on Wednesday 3rd April 2013. We will be looking foward to the Interclub Tournament which many BKK Valley members are taking part.

Grading
The next grading will be held on Sunday 24th March in Llantwit Fadre Sports Centre
White and Red belts from 12:30 until 2:30 and Blue to Green belts from 2:30 until 5:30.
